I was thinking of making a gpp mod where i brought back the hovel as a teleporter.

The idea is just to bring atleast the hovel back, no hovel = no game

I made a 1.1 mod where the hovel had 580 hp while the barricades had 600 hp.

1. Hovel as in 1.1 hovel bunker is useless. It was only used to block lucijumps/grenadejupms from main ATCS entrance to OM location.
2. Considering 1.1/gpp - one of aliens advantages was the speed, the ability to move fast from one location to the other. Some major restrictions would have to be placed on teleporting for T2 to be balanced like gpp was and not become a game along "funserver+bamboo+paintmaps+ubp+coward-children-camping-all-time".

grmg.pl: if you don't like hovel, you can deny it on your server. We wan't to make game very much customizable. So there should not happen something like "they added this feature, I don't like it, it ruining whole game", because you will be able to turn that feature off.
We still deciding what engine we will use, but it looks like we will take unreal engine 3.

Forgive my rudeness, but does this mean you're still on the stage of planning, and already have little/some/all assets?
It's a long journey you know. I didn't quite expect unvanquished to make it this far, but if they did i'll assume you'll as well and hopefully not make a blunder like what volt did to his project.

Rotacak is quite different then volt.
Check his 3rd team mod, where he made a new team (robots) with aliens+humans battling together.
I'm quite sure this game will be released, but ofcourse, not over a span of 1,5 years.

He meant that when granger uses teleport (wormhole in space) he can easily become a dust.
