Title: Trem2
Post by: GLAMEOW431 on November 17, 2012, 03:22:51 AM
So this will be a complete remake of tremulous using unreal with "borderlands" style graphics.

Cool plan, hopefully it all works out. How will you be distributing the final game when the time comes?

Wait, what's the difference between unreal and xreal? Isn't unvanquished using xreal?

Stop talking gibberish...

Unreal engine speaks for itself, unvanquished uses the daemon engine - a fork of the openwolf engine.

What about payments and anti-copy measures?

We want to release game on various game-selling websites, they have various playment options.

Anti copy - you mean copy protection? Game will not be copy protected, you will have to log in to your account and that will allow you to play, if you bought the game.

So it's gonna work kind of how minecraft has their own log-in thingy.

Cool.

Will there be alpha or beta versions of the game available for eager people to test out?

Wait, what's the difference between unreal and xreal? Isn't unvanquished using xreal?

Unvanquished uses a fork/derivative of xreal however there are no similarities between unreal and xreal.

I wonder if we have a converted "noticed the ship was a'sinking" Unvanquished player in our midst. Welcome!

Edit: Fixed my auto-correct fail

Ship, perhaps yes. I'm fairly certain that no Unvanquished shops have sunk till now, nor will they sink in the future :D

Aren't greenlit projects supposed to be free? Well, as far as i know.  I googled and it either came with the fee to host projects, or irrelevent topics.

He said it's too soon because the project is just being developed. Not because of money.

From what I understand, Greenlight is a place to "vote" on if independently made games get into Steam. It's weird and stupid, but it will probably get feedback and more publicity.
