Title: How is this going to compete with this?

I know, there's not alot of information about T2, but it raises some questions.

We do not want to compete with NS2. We have own different goal (gameplay/graphic) than NS2.

Good to know, you still want to hold the ancient Tremulous athmosphere to this game?
(Ofcourse, with the new additions, but in the games soul?)

Well, if we didn't we might as well rename the game  :P

Everybody who played and liked Tremulous knew that it differs from NS2. Well on Steam there are many rivals, not just NS2.

Ofcourse, but still is all the same idea:

Aliens vs Humans with Buildables.

I played some matches on NS2 yesterday, imho it's a good game, but nothing beats Tremulous :)

Due to Trem's awsome fast-paced nature, most newbies that i meet that originally played NS before said that trem's unbalanced. Well i guess it is a teeny unbalanced, but so is NS with  something like 55% alien win. I should show them the graph of alien wins ofr trem as well, honestly it's about the same. We need to teach these youngsters to not judge a game by its "cover"

lol they said trem is unbalanced, that's not just its cover :)
Actually trem can be unbalanced of course, but it doesn't depend on race but on players.

Stacking teams make any game unbalanced.

You know, if everyone on Steam and others felt this way about the game, AAAGames would be rich.

Every company's dream eh, €€€/$$$.

The people will come when they release nice trailers.
I'm pretty sure rota's team (especcialy nalf) can make this right.

Tremulous =/= Natural Selection.

Trem is better.   ;)

They're the same, and yet completely different at the same time.

I'm just so glad to hear that Trem may be making a huge comeback in the near future.  I was worried we'd suffer more clans disbanding soon.

I allready miss Z server and ACR.

Back on topic, Natural Selection has more of a centralized team structure from what I hear, and Trem is an awesome mass free-for-all o*gy of death.

Trem has, and always will have a special palce in my heart.  I hope the devs will do a good job, and pull off something here that will make 1.1 proud.  And very envious.

I will spend $80 on this game, if that's what it takes.  lol.

Agreed, but not everyone (or rather - nobody besides die-hard Trem fans) is willing to spend 80$ on a game. I  bet on 15-20 range.

This should be put on the "cover" for people to see  :)

We're talking T2, not 1.1/1.2

Unless you have indeed discovered some way of obtaining a copy of Tremulous 2 for free, of course.

If trem 2 is as big as i think it will be. I'll be able to pay some big money for it. Cause i told me dad that i'd rather get trem 2 than my xbox halo 4 bundle.

When people say tremulous 1.1 is unbalanced I cannot see what is unbalanced. Unlagged makes Tyrant too overpowered but that's about it. I think it's the players excuse who get owned too much tbh.

Exactly.

If anything, it makes the game easier, so it's a horrible one at that.

Veteran Quake players, etc. absolutely hate it because it levels the playing field, and makes it so that noobs can get just as good as them without having to grind repetitively for years to build up the skill to aim ahead.

If they're really as good as they say, then they can practice both lagged and unlagged.

personally I mostly used in my first times unlagged, then came to lagged but couldnt hit a shi*, but actually I was good at dodging etc, unlagged made at least lil bit dodge skill, because you're forced to dodge there...

but in this tremulous it's Unreal 3 Engine so there will not exist lagged/unlagged

It owns a special palace in my heart too.

There are many things involved on steam.
(If it were there, would be nice to sort my games, minecraft'd be the one out of steam then. xD)
But the question is if as paid, even with help in supporting the game in a matter of keeping it, but would break with our stories in the game, think of each update or packs would have to pay and a lot of newbies devaluing a game we like.
If it was free to steam, would be kind tf2, happy, but a real mess.

My opinion is that it continues the way it is, kicking paid game's asses and still being tremulous.
(Sorry for the english btw   ::) )
