Title: Mouse disables in dynamic intervals
Post by: Loki on January 23, 2014, 04:51:49 PM
Hey although I study diagnostics of PC and hardware, I can't see what's wrong with this mouse. It is 5/6 years old but it does not matter, it still works.

- It disables itself in dynamic intervals, sometimes there's that pop-up sound when you connect/disconnect usb device
- It works flawlessly on my brother's notebook so it can't be the laser sensor.
- This problem persists on each USB driver.

What I've done
- Tried the mouse on my brother's notebook - worked flawlessly.
- Uninstalled Drivers of both Mouse and USB ports.
- Reinstalled Drivers of both Mouse and USB ports.

It had no effects. I must play f.ing Morrowind, work in Adobe Photoshop with touchpad. Whatever I do, I use touchpad...

Has anybody had this problem?

Very strange... if you have the same issue on any USB port - and only with that mouse - then that rules out a faulty electrical connection.

Other than that, the only other thing I can think of that could cause something like that would be a corrupted operating system, or a bad BIOS chip.

Your problem sounds remarkably like the issues I have with Java on my machine... no matter what I do, nothing ever seems to stop it from crashing and freezing spontaneously.  Probably caused by the fact that I have an AMD mobile GPU.

Unless it's an expensive mouse, the *simplest* fix will be to replace that mouse and forget anything ever happened, but I'll assume you already know that.

Yeah, I am thinking about a motherboard's fault.
Btw I have a laptop and this problem started 5 days ago
