Many pictures from various phases of creation 3D objects (human buildings).
-
Yay, this looks great!
BTW: security system is DC? If it is does it makes rets respond faster like DC did in vanilla?
BTW2: middle section of RC rotates? :P
BTW3: The buildings will have hitboxes I assume. Will it be as "detailed" hitbox as actual Arm model?
BTW4: Repeater has 5 or 6 switches on top. Do they have actual use or is it a graphic detail only? On further inspection - 2 plug connectors on top - same question? The screen on top says "Transmitting". Transmitting as in - power on/off or does it transmit something else too?
-
grmg.pl:
Yes, Security System make rotating Turrets faster.
Outer section of RC rotate.
Buildings and players have polygon precise hit detections = no more air hits.
Repeated switches etc. - that all is currently only graphic detail. Maybe display will show some dynamic info later.

This game is going to look so badass by the time it's finished, lol. 8)
Since this is being built on Unreal Engine 4, will UDK still be the software of choice for mapmaking in this game, or is there some UE4 kit that we will need?
-
Machine Medic: Sadly, UDK cannot be used for making maps for UE4. If you will want to make maps, you need to buy UE4 license ($19 onetime) and create map with that.
-
I guess they haven't thought about that. Or have they? Either way they should release a map UDK for free...

These look really great! Though sadly I know everyone will be turning graphics down to min to maximize performance. Should look way better than the originals no matter what though.

Hey
I think the murnatan should need go to Steam Green Light ?!?! Right?
Easy way to get sponsored.

The fun thing about using a super-major engine like Unreal Engine 4 is the incredible rendering optimization. I wouldn't be surprised if even a game like this got something like 30-40 FPS on a 2.8GHz dual core with a GTX-550 or thereabout.

I believe one of the reasons AAA has not applied for GreenLight earlier is because they have had no real ingame content to show off or any way to solidly prove how serious they are.
That may change soon, depending on when they can finish the rest of the buildables, get a map or three roughed out and polished, and get most of the ingame features to at least a workable state.
