Oh, man.
Those heat sinks are sexy. They strongly remind me of the Q3 rocket launcher:
The rear sight post is reminiscent of the tang sights that were seen on late 1800's Winchester lever-action rifles in the west:
All in all, you've built one kick-ass piece of hardware with this one. I love the detail with the reservoir and plumbing for the purple gas that will be super-heated and ionized into plasma packets as the gun is fired.
I love all of the work you've done with the metal surfaces on this one. I see some black anodized steel or aluminum billet making up the core components of the gun, with a few small powder-coated pieces hidden here and there. The heat spreader in the front is a beautiful piece of billet aluminum or low-chromium stainless steel. The central magazine/battery appears to be constructed primarily from some high-tin alloy or tinned carbon steel, and most of the remaining rearward components appear to be heavily worn anodized aluminum billet construction.
Excellent attention to detail all around.
I wonder if the four protrusions just forward of the central magazine/battery are some sort of exhaust or cooling vents? If so, it would be absolutely amazing to see some sort of
visible gaseous discharge incorporated into the firing animation eventually.
