THIS IS NOT A NAME CHANGE REQUEST!

Now that I got that out of the way. I was wondering how the developers and the community thought of orienting Murnatan, or dedicating a game mode, towards vehicles, objectives, large maps, and teamplay. If I am not mistaken, vehicles are planned to be part of the game, but it would be kind of lame to have a vehicle in ATCS, don't you think. I am not suggesting, the implementation of tanks, attack choppers, or bombers, but rather lightly armed APCs and transport helicopters. If done correctly, I think a game like this would certainly get some recognition from the online community. The hardest part would be balancing the two teams as large maps and vehicles would certainly seem to favor the human team.

On a side note, please at least make the game easy to install with wine, if no Linux client will be made available.

Vehicles will be added by map creator. If map creator will decide that there will be no vehicle then there will not be any. If he will decide to add vehicle then it is his responsibility to make map playable. It is part of map design.

Also vehicles can be used even by aliens if he will allowing it.

Balancing is always hard even without vehicles, but it is doable.

I am not sure if games in unreal engine 3 can be played through wine, but if yes then it should not be a problem.

I'm not sure how vehicles would fit in the picture? It would require big open maps which suck for aliens. Traversing with vehicles would take forever. How would aliens go about fighting them?
I don't see how vehicles would fit in Trem at all?

Vehicles will be added by map creator.
So basically You will provide a sandbox with basic maps that showoff all features of the game. From than on you're counting on community mapdesigners to release new maps/modes?

Good luck with that. How many maps are currently in rotation on Rcz? How many of them are typical shitmaps? How many of them are good quality maps-looks wise? How many of the good looking maps are balanced gameplay-wise? How many of them take ubps into account?

Leaving the problem of balancing the gameplay into the hands of some random douchbag-mapdesigner is going to destroy balance. Most new players will want to go to h team as it is more familiar and easier to learn. Most of them will vote/play shitmaps designed for camping/md-whoring as the noobs ALWAYS did and ALWAYS will on ubp/rcz. Think about nintendoland - only nabs voted it in. As soon as map started some  ckit/granger nab ALWAYS ran to greyroom. As soon as grayroom was captured, the game devolved into 2 hours of pure camping. Not to mention paint map with control room campbase.

Vehicles will probably have default weapons/capabilities and either of the teams will have access to them after capturing a vehicle or control point or sth like that.

I know it was a fad in the mid 2000's to 'just add vehicles' to FPS, but mostly it just came off as an afterthought. Not to mention the driving mechanics were often kinda shitty. I have no problem with vehicles in MP FPS games as long as they have a good reason to be there. I don't see one in Trem.

Personally, I can't see myself using vehicles much in Trem even if they are provided...

It's just not  that kind of game.

However, vehicles in the sense of tremship.pk3 and others make sense... because... well, yeah.

Wehicles will fit perfectly in maps from Pandora and Earth planets. Not sure if indoor maps on space ships can have any usable wehicles.

Aliens can fight against vehicles as against anything else. Even more - thanks to flying alien, then can fly above enemy vehicle, evolve to bigger alien and attack.

If community will release something - good. It is same as doors etc.. If you want to use it, use it then, if not, not.

That is true. But we have responsibility only for balancing our (default) maps. If someone will make fun cannon unplayable map, ok. If I dont like it, I will not add it to my server. I dont see any problem.
