Hello, Salut, Ciào, Hola, Privet, Cześć, こんにちは !

So while the Plushies has been delivered to their new Plushy masters, we got an offer we could't refuse from our awesome community.  Yes, that's you and by that we mean YOU !

You offered us to translate our news to several other languages including some we never heard of.  :)
So we thought a little bit and said - no way!  There is no chance we let you help us and don't offer you something as a reward.  So here we go:

"You have just applied to the newly born Murnatan Ambassador Team (MATe)"
Yaaay ! ..oh wait, what is it, exactly? Well..

One of the things we really like in the "PC gaming world" is the connection between developers and their community. And since this will be a long run for all of us, we want this connection to be deeper.  Let's be honest, without you - our hardcore fans,  we will achieve our goals much, much harder. So we decided, that we will offer some perks to those of you, who will help us during this ride, in the long term.

The ultimate goal you can achieve as a community member is to be a part of MATe. While it's not decided everything about it yet, we have some great ideas and we will do our best that it will be worth it.

However, let's start with the very first step - translation of any news (including this one) to ANY language.  After completion of five of these you will get new forum badge called "Translator".* There are few simple rules how you should proceed with this; read this first, please : Translation Rules

We believe this is just a beginning of great cooperation between us, but anyway : Thank you for being great !

* After you finish fifth translation, send me a PM and we will provide you with a badge. Right now there are no stern rules, so if you will cooperate in translator teams and/or correct mistakes after each other, we will simply count it as "translation" (just add every person that helped on the bottom of the post, we will  believe you).  Later the rules might be a more strict, though.

I'm not sure if editing English posts counts as translating, but if you want me to, I can certainly help with fixing grammar, etc.

Also, the rules post is within an admin-only forum, and can't be viewed.

Yes, it counts - we are not native speakers, so beside other languages there is a "(proper) English" option  :D

You're right, it will be soon (few hours, I guess)

Thank goodness. I'll accept as long as the content stays the same.

Therefore, Tremulous 2 might have the future (or might not, since it isn't developed by a corporations, depends on what Global Government will decide), but Unvarnished doesn't.

The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that two English posts (albeit one proper, the other original) might be unnecessary.

I'm thinking correcting a post then submitting it via a PM to replace the original incorrect post would be much more efficient on the forums.  Plus it means fewer reposted attachments on the forum server.

Good/bad?

Good, it's  more efficient to solve mistakes through PM.
For english write me a PM --> I will correct the original post.

Similarly, if someone finds out a mistake in other translation (e.g. French), he should PM to the original translator.  Our goal is to have one news per language, not several versions, which would be confusing.

Well I guess that would make a little bit of chaos, however if you need help then I could lend a hand.

Hi. I was gone for awhile(family issues). But in the time, I translated some news to spanish.

And I'd like to say, it's getting quite messy in the Translation forum. I think it would be good to make sub-forums in the Translation forums. For different languages, example:

Translations forums --> Spanish News, Czech News, Romanian News.

It would make it easier, and maybe changing the names of the titles(Instead of Topic name in english, It would be topic name in the translated language for non-english speakers to understand).

Well, gracias.

Stranger: "Translation" section is only for translators. Every new translation is linked from original news posts - look at bottom of the first post in original post.

Translating topic names:
We need to have it in english - othervise we will not know what topic was translated. But you can translate it anyway:

Example of your translation (post):
Topic: "original in english"
Text: "translated topic"
"translated text"
