Pricing too high will be counterproductive, at low price levels more players will come in. Online player counts are one of the most important things to multiplayer games. If you price it too high there's the risk of the game not even getting off the ground in the first place. The market is saturated with all the high quality low cost games being tossed around on digital platforms, so that's already driving down demand.

Or just make it pay-by-month, and either watch it die or make tons of money. (Like Minecraft and WoW)

No, because it's a form of "long-tail".
You release product for 50$, year later you price it 1$ as a standalone or a bundle.

My suggestion for pricing is to have a higher priced beta entry price, hardcore Tremulous fans like myself and many others using this forum will get first try at the game and hopefully cover a good portion of your compensation.  Then gradually decrease the price of the game as it closer to full release, with a lower release price to get volume, and hopefully make the game very popular.

Or...

Step 1: "Release" game in "beta"
Step 2: Give hard-core fans their game while getting a extra for those that think there's getting something not many others are getting
Step 3: Casually leave it in beta for a while...you know, to work out the bugs.  :P
Step 4: Sit back for ~3 month break while making 20% more money
Step 5: "Release" game, making sure they know it's now at a lowered price (but the sale will end soon, so hurry up!)
Step 6: Profit?

The game is still in modelling stage, the UE3 development seats haven't been purchased yet.

My guess is that we'll have it late 2014 to early 2015, but there's no telling for sure until it's actually done.

"the UE3 development seats "

hihi imaginary property is so funny.

Next you would need to purchase the Allowance of the King of the World to use a computer or write any game at all even from scratch.

Oh actually this is true, software patents :)
