Please read the forums before posting.
But to save time:

1) The engine does not support it
2) The developers won't port it (I mean, they have enough to do already)
3) Linux is not a gaming platform. Someday someone will accept that. I already see many games for Windows that do not run natively on Mac, so it will be even longer if at all before Linux gets a real spot in the gaming franchise. For now it's just little pet-projects.
Now you see me...now you don't...headshot

Well, it's quite a shame jaroth that they won't port this game to linux.
Maybe you can create some sort of virtual environment with windows on? :)

Jeez.

If you really want a linux port of T2, I'm sure the devs would be glad to add it to the list of kickstarter perks for around a $40,000 donation.

Enough already, lol.   ::)

3) Linux is not a gaming platform.

- has caught Blizzard's eye... 2013 will be the year that "at least one of their very popular titles will see a release for Ubuntu Linux." - http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTI2ODE

- Valve Begins Listing Linux Requirements For Certain Games On Steam - http://games.slashdot.org/story/12/12/07/182217/valve-begins-listing-linux-requirements-for-certain-games-on-steam

-  'Join the Beta' promotion on the homepage of Steam suggesting you try Steam for Linux - http://www.geek.com/articles/games/valve-starts-promoting-steam-for-linux-to-windows-users-20130121/

Yeah, Steam, Blizzard, what they know when experts like poster above (Gunther) had spoken.

Y not put a poll up instead of discussing it?

Therefore, Tremulous 2 might have the future (or might not, since it isn't developed by a corporations, depends on what Global Government will decide), but Unvarnished doesn't.

Sucks to be those Unvarnished guys.

Steam games are being released ONLY for 12.-something/newest version of Ubuntu. That already cuts out many Linux users.
Games are in concept and beta for the newest and easiest operating distro. A huge step forward, I see. We will all be playing on Linux in 10 years at this rate.
